The steadily increasing interest towards the Halal certification led the Halal International Authority (HIA) Management to develop and apply over the years the application of a licensing system for outsourcing the performance of the auditing and administrative activities to a licensee company in order to better conform to the national laws and to the Halal standards requirements of the different countries.

According to the licensing system, in performing the certification process the Halal International Authority (HIA) acts as a licenser and outsources to the licensee company the auditing and administrative activities. After the completion of the audit procedures, the licensee company submits the final report to the Halal International Authority Certification Committee (HIACC) for review and final decision. Once the HIACC approves it then the Halal certification is issued and signed by the Halal International Authority President. HIACC also decides on the suspension, revocation and withdrawal of the HIA Halal certification already issued by the Halal International Authority (HIA).

The licensee company is carefully selected, trained and monitored by the Halal International Authority (HIA) Management and Staff in order to ensure the full respect of the international Halal Standards and HIA internal rules.

The Halal International Authority (HIA) employs very highly qualified technical and managerial personnel, applies highest quality management systems, uses most modern  IT systems, collaborates with most prominent Shariah scholars and experts in the Halal field worldwide, stipulates important partnerships with international Universities, Research Centers, Islamic Academies and Institutions, supports Consumers Associations and endorses Muslim Communities in non-Muslim countries.
